Restoring the historical section of the Terra Sancta Museum in Jerusalem’s Old City
Jerusalem
Located in the heart of the Old City of Jerusalem, the Terra Sancta Museum preserves and promotes the historical and artistic memory of the Christian presence in the Holy Land.
The Museum, whose mission is to promote intercultural and religious dialogue, is divided between two sites. The first is the Monastery of the Flagellation, located in the Muslim Quarter, which houses the multimedia and archaeological sections of the museum (already partially open to visitors since 2018). The second is the Monastery of Saint Savior, in the Christian Quarter, which will house the historical section of the museum. The goals of this project are to restore the building that will house this second section, while also providing a training opportunity for local heritage professionals.
