Reinforcing the protection of the collections of the Palestinian Museum
Palestine
The Palestinian Museum holds important collections of traditional dresses (thobes), jewelry and accessories, artwork, paintings, and archives. These collections are facing new threats since the beginning of the war in Gaza.
The project enhanced security measures at the museum, including installing alarms in the storage spaces and in the exhibition hall. It also conducted a thorough risk assessment, established a protocol for the safe evacuation of collections, upgraded storage facilities, and trained security and scientific personnel in cultural heritage protection.
