Rehabilitation of Saint Joseph University’s Museum of Lebanese Prehistory
Beirut, Lebanon
The Museum of Lebanese Prehistory hosts a unique collection of stone and bone artifacts, pottery, and faunal remains that depict nearly a million years of human history. While the collection of the museum was spared, the structure of the building suffered from the 4 August 2020 explosion. As a result, the museum faced danger of further damage to its interior. The project replaced broken windows and doors, consolidated damaged walls, and repaired the building’s electrical system.
