Evaluation of the architectural rehabilitation projects of the Old City of Beirut
Beirut, Lebanon
The Old City of Beirut is home to many historical buildings, reflecting the country’s rich history. After the widespread destruction of the area caused by the 4 August 2020 explosion, the General Directorate of Antiquities commissioned a team of three architects and one engineer. This team contributed to evaluating the damage, estimating the resources required for repairs, and participating in a long-term strategy with concrete recommendations.
